Introducing finAPI KYC Ident + Pay
Unlock seamless identity verification with finAPI KYC Ident + Pay. Designed to meet the stringent requirements of Section 12 (1) GwG, this service verifies user identities efficiently and securely.
Note: The necessary Qualified Electronic Signature (QeS), in compliance with Section 12 (1) sentence 2 GwG, is to be carried out by the respective customer.
By relying on the user simply providing access to their bank accounts, KYC Ident + Pay makes identity verification quick and user-friendly.
This comprehensive solution integrates two key services:
finAPI Access: An account information service that retrieves customer identification data with ease.
finAPI Pay: A payment initiation service that completes the verification with a reference transfer of EUR 0.01.
These two steps are bundled into the KYC Ident + Pay application.

Features
The KYC Ident + Pay product by finAPI ensures that end customer access data is managed with the highest level of security. The data is stored only within a single session, which has a maximum duration of 5 minutes. If the process is not completed within this period, it must be restarted from the beginning.
End customers explicitly authorize finAPI GmbH to utilize their online banking access data for the necessary identification steps, but solely within this single technical session.
During this process, the following data is retrieved and processed:
Account holder name
IBAN
Account type (individual account, joint account, or business account)
EUR 0.01 reference transfer from the end customer's account to the client’s account
